“There can be infinite uses of the computer and of new age technology, but if teachers themselves are not able to bring it into the classroom and make it work, then it fails.”
The classroom today is changing from the “traditional” setup. Chalkboards and textbooks are quickly being replaced with computers and smart boards, and a majority of the tools that are available to students are increasingly becoming centered around technology. So, what is to be done about the changing face of the classroom? How can technology benefit students in the best way? The answer is to first educate the teachers and bring helpful techniques and resources to them so that they can then execute it effectively in the classroom. This is the first step to bringing the tool of technology into education, because as Nancy Kassebaum stated in her quote, or else it will fail. That is what will be accomplished in this blog, to find and post helpful links and techniques to aide teachers in their adjustment and transition with using technology successfully in the classroom, and by also doing this, making better teachers for the future of education.
